
Todd Pappas is a diagnostic development scientist who has worked primarily with small companies to develop innovative multivariate and multi-analyte tests for cancer and infectious diseases. He led development and validation of an FDA cleared multivariate index assay for ovarian cancer, and has helped develop algorithm-based diagnostics, syndromic and emerging infectious disease products with medical device manufacturers and the US DoD.
Todd has also been responsible for extramural funding at small and large companies, as well as for his own academic career, and supported one of Texas’ highest extramurally funded start-ups. Prior to working in biomedical industries, he did basic research in biomedical engineering, neurovirology and neuroendocrinology. Todd has a PhD in Neuroscience and an MS and BS in Biology.
