Naira’s practice focuses on strategic patent counseling for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare technology driven companies. Naira represents both private and public companies and works closely with litigation, regulatory counsel, and corporate early-stage companies that maximizes patent protection for their lead products and prepares the company for a successful strategy; as well as close collaborations with in-house counsel of mid- to late-stage companies to implement their IP development and enforcement strategies. Naira assists clients with IP matters pertaining to financings, SPACs, M&A, and partnership deals. Naira also helps companies and investors in IP due diligence.
Prior to her legal career, Naira trained as a scientist at Weill Cornell. Naira is the primary author of scientific and legal publications. Naira held fellowships various fellowships during training, including from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) and the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).
