Dr. Anna Belcheva completed her medical school and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas. She then trained in Hematology/Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX where she also did research in the field of angiogenesis with Dr. Lee Ellis.
Subsequently she practiced in Houston, TX first as managing partner at one of the largest groups in the city, Oncology Consultants PA and then went on to develop the Community Cancer Centers System for Houston Methodist Hospital. In the process, she set up practices, trained students and brought clinical trials to the community hospitals.
She recently joined the largest oncology group in the state of Texas, Texas Oncology PA, where she will continue to develop community cancer centers in the Houston areas as well as enhance the clinical trials of that organization.
She has held multiple leadership roles in her career, such as: Director of the Infusion Center at Houston Methodist Willow Brook Hospital, Chair of Cancer Committee, Director of Tumor Board, Assistant Community Cancer Center Clinical Trials Program Director, and Community Cancer Center Strategic Program Director for the North Region at Houston Methodist Hospital.
She is an accomplished clinician and clinical researcher with years of experience, who exhibits compassion in care and initiative in clinic.
